We have a masdevallia on special for this newsletter. Masdevallias require strong indirect sunlight. Years ago they needed cooler temperatures than the new hybrid that are now available. Even in the summer heat we have had great success in blooming these little jewels of the orchid world. They do not have psuedo bulbs and they have fine roots. Thus they enjoy the hydro system which can provide enough moisture to keep them healthy and blooming frequently. These very full plants with multi spikes are growing in our 4.5" x 3.5" hydro kit.
